User accounts

Jenson8 Dashboard User accounts are required for:

  • Session managers and facilitators, to manage workshops in the dashboard.
  • End user participants in a Jenson8 Application session that includes psychometrics, in game scoring and post game evaluation.
  • 'Shared' or 'Robot' accounts that can be used by any participant in a session without psychometrics.

Account requirements for a Jenson8 Session


If the session is a Jenson8 Application with Psychometrics, the participant must have a dashboard account in their name and they will have the only login credentials to access it.


In order to complete the session tasks that take place on the dashboard, they will need to log in to that account on a computer or mobile device. 


If the session is a Basic Session, no dashboard access is required for the participant. They can use a PIN code from a Shared or Robot account. It is up to the session facilitator to decide which user will be paired with which shared account and to issue the PIN codes so that every participant has a unique code.


How to create a shared user account


The easiest way to do this is from the session management screen on the dashboard.

  • In the participants tab of a session click the "+ Add participant" button.
  • Enter a name and email address. For shared accounts, the email address does not need not be real, we suggest using the format "<company name>robot@example.com" e.g. trailbarrobot1@example.com.
  • Click 'Save changes'.
  • The User will appear in the list of participants in the session page alongside their PIN code for use when logging in to Apollo and Boomerang games.
  • The User will now be a member of the active User Group for that Session. They can be added to other User Groups within the same Organisation from the User Group's Group Management section. 

How to create a participant user account


Participant user accounts are required for anyone in a Jenson8 Application session with psychometrics. There are two ways to add Users to a User Group, from the Manage Group page and from the Session page.


From the Manage Group page:

  • Click the "Invite new users" tab
  • Enter the participant's name and email address. 
  • Click "Invite User".
  • The participant will receive an email with instructions to activate their account and complete any pre-task survey that is required.

From the Session page:

  • In the participants tab of a session click + Add participant
  • Enter the participant's name and email address. 
  • Click 'Save changes'
  • The participant will receive an email with instructions to activate their account and complete any pre-task survey that is required.

How to create a user account for a colleague


To get an account on the Jenson8 dashboard you need an invitation from an existing Organisation Admin user within your company. You cannot sign up directly at the dashboard site.


If you are an Organisation Admin you can create a new user account for a colleague by selecting the User Group you wish them to be a part of and selecting the 'Invite User' tab. Enter the name and email address of the new user and they will receive an email to sign up and create their account.
