Setting up a game
Adding Games to a Session
Once you have created a Session (see Creating and editing Sessions page for more details) you will need to add Games to it.
In the session management tab options, choose Games to open the games list page.
Click Add Game to configure your first game.
In the game management page, select the basic settings for your game. You can choose from three difficulty settings, the duration of the game (8 minutes by default), and whether this is a test game or not. Test game scores are not included in session reports and other outputs. For more information about difficult levels and other settings, see the Apollo Game Settings page.
Assigning participants
Click on Edit Players, and then select the players you want to add from the list of available participants. You can remove players from a role by clicking the '-' sign when the role is selected for editing.
Jenson8 applications have the ability to play with or without a facilitator. If you are playing without a facilitator, there needs to be a majority vote in order for players to start the game. Please note: without a facilitator you will be unable to skip scenes or force end the game early.
Once you have assigned all the players for the participants, either with their own accounts or using Robot accounts, click Save Game Settings.
Game settings can only be edited before the game is activated in the session. After the game is in progress or complete, only the Test Game setting can be changed.
Selecting Server Location
In the Settings tab next to the Games tab you can also select which server to use for your session. There are several servers in various locations around the world so select the one that will be closest to where you are hosting your session, or where the majority of participants will be connecting from, to provide the best connection. The closest server for your Organisation should be selected by default but you can change to another server better located for your Session needs if required.
PIN Codes to access Jenson8 Games
Every user account on the Jenson8 dashboard has a unique PIN code attached to it. This PIN code is required to access Apollo and Boomerang games on Meta Quest, Pico and Windows devices. Participants' PIN codes can be found on the Participants tab of the relevant Session Page.
See the video below for an overview of the process.
