Factory reset troubleshooting - Quest 2
Below are some known issues that can occur when factory resetting a Quest 2 and the Fixes for the issues.
- Headset will not pair to the phone despite the Meta app on the phone saying "paired”
- The way to fix this is either to pair the headset later, or to use the phone app and press "complete set up” under the device tab and pair the remotes which will then detect the headset
Also ensure that both hand controllers are on and paired to the headset to make sure that the device set up will continue.
- Headset will not connect to the Wi-Fi correctly after pairing to the Meta app on a mobile device
- The fix for this is to press and hold the power button on the headset to power it off, then power it back on. This will quickly go through some of the set-up process again and correctly connect to the Wi-Fi once powered back on.
