PC Workshop Kit List

Windows 10/11 PCs

Ensure that there are enough PCs for each participant and facilitator with the relevant Jenson8 applications installed. These PCs must meet our hardware specifications. For each PC, also include the following equipment:

PC Power Cables - we recommend keeping laptop PCs on charge throughout the workshop to maintain high performance.
Headphones with boom mic - Over-ear, closed back gaming headsets such as the JBL Quantum 300 should be used for an optimal experience. Headsets should effectively block out external noise to keep the participant immersed, and have a close mic to keep communication channels clean.
Mice - It is important to ensure participants have a mouse, as the Jenson8 virtual environment is difficult to navigate with a trackpad. A basic wired or wireless mouse is suitable, for on-site workshops a wireless mouse such as the Logitech M185 is optimal for minimising cables and keeping the workspace clean.
Mouse pad - A small mouse pad/mat will ensure that the mouse has suitable surface to be controlled with and reduce noise in the space.

Additional equipment

Extension Leads - Bring sufficient extension leads to ensure all devices can be charged simultaneously throughout the space. Observe the layout of the space to determine the style and length of extension lead required to PCs connected.
Labels/stickers - consider labelling each PC with a number or name to provide efficient tech support.
Spare batteries - if you are using any devices such as a wireless mouse which requires a battery, bring spare batteries in case any of them run out during the session.
